If we really had to rank them, Santorini, Mykonos, Paros, Naxos, and Rhodes would have to be at the top. These are the islands that struck us the most. #Santorini is the most romantic and cinematic place we’ve ever seen. A daydream! Oia is a wonderful place, Fira is slightly more chaotic, but certainly no less so. #Mykonos is crazy! Full of people, trendy boutiques that could easily be found in Milan or Paris. But Mykonos is also incredibly relaxing and enchanting. #Paros is a worthy alternative to Santorini and Mykonos. It’s lively, yet calm, trendy, yet very authentic. #Naxos is the perfect island. It has enchanting seas (Plaka beach is Caribbean-like), a city (Naxos Town) full of markets, shops, taverns, entertainment, bakeries, ice cream parlors, nightclubs—in short, everything. The island is also very large and full of villages, which produce authentic delicacies, such as the best cheese in the world, Graviera Naxou, according to the 2026 Tastle Atlas ranking. Rhodes is a world unto itself. It’s huge, so renting a car is a must. It has a fantastic city (Rhodes) and a charming village (Lindos). There’s art, history (it’s the island of the famous Colossus, as well as of the Knights), entertainment, nature (“Valley of the Butterflies”), and an enchanting sea (take your pick between Lindos Bay, St. Paul’s Bay, Anthony Quinn Bay, and the Kallithea Thermal Baths). Beyond that, there are many other islands and places to discover.
